SHOWING
The project
will begin in the autumn, continue over the spring and be completed for
exhibition in a variety of local settings, including those of all the groups
involved, during the summer.
A permanent
home for the hanging will be identified during the project, which will also be
documented in an album and on this website.
The hanging
will be shown at community venues and events, if you have a suggestion please
tell us. It has been designed with each house as a separate section so it is
easy to roll up and carry round, and can just as happily go to a group meeting
for a couple of hours or be hung on a wall for a couple of weeks.
In addition
to this lasting artwork, the experience of working together, across ages and
interests will benefit the individuals and groups who take part. It is hoped
that an ongoing textile workshop group will be established to develop further
activity.
